Overview
This free course has been designed to serve as an introduction to the knowledge, skills and attitudes that are necessary when working in child and adolesecent mental health in New Zealand. The resource is made up of four courses; Developmental Considerations, Engagement Strategies, Assessment Strategies and Interventions. The courses are to be completed sequentially. Upon completion of all four courses the participant will receive a Certificate of Achievement.
This online resource will be used by practitioners who have recently started working in the area, including Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Cultural Workers, Psychology Interns and others. It can be completed at the participants' own pace - there is no start/finish date. This resource is equivalent to 8 hours of self-directed study. Each course will take between 60 to 90 minutes to complete and will also require an additional 60 to 90 minutes for additional reading.
